Home of over 6,000 heriatge listed buidlings, Ipswich is an enormously popular and populated city in south-east Queensland. Originally established as a mining colony in the 1820s, Ipswich has blossomed into a creative hub, hosting film shoots, television production, arts events and major sporting occasions. Ipswich hosts many smallscale festivals, including the Goodna Jacaranda Festival, which paints the town purple since 1968.

Ipswich is 45 km (1 hr drive) south west of Brisbane.
