Melly Melody Entertainment presents Doris Day’s most popular and cherished songs…from her early days on the bandstand as a Big Band singer through to her most popular movie and musical songs!

Melly takes audiences on a journey through Doris Day's outstanding career as a singer and movie star, performing all of her most well known and loved songs. Doris Day's catalogue is vast and many of the songs encourage audience participation in the form of a sing-a-long...audiences love this!

Through songs, stories, and images, Melly and her swinging live band brings Doris Day's fabulous music to life once again. There is no imitation, instead she celebrates and pays homage to Day's outstanding career as a performer.

The show is ready to tour, having toured across South East Queensland in 2019 and 2020.

Some of the songs featured include: Que Sera Sera, Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps, Tea For Two, By The Light Of The Silvery Moon, Pillow Talk, On Moonlight Bay, Everybody Loves A Lover...plus more.

A Sentimental Journey, Celebrating Doris Day' will have audiences tapping their toes and singing their hearts out, as Melly pays tribute to a true legend who will stay in our hearts forever!

Considerations

Option to have two performances per day. All live music...no backing tracks. *Band consists of Piano, Drums, Bass, Trumpet, Guitar and vocalist.

*Venue to provide: Baby Grand Piano is ideal, however an electric piano will also suffice (we can also provide our own if in SEQLD).

LX, AV and Sound operators and equipment (preferred)

2 x standing mic stands, 2 x wireless handheld mics, 1 x projector (optional), 1 x screen (optional) Risers for band (optional)

*Can be performed in cabaret mode with chairs and tables and also works well as a dinner show.
