Untapped is a high-octane dance, music & comical experience for the whole family.
Untapped is a rhythmic extravaganza of dazzling sight and sound, these Expert Hoofers extend tap into wild territories - how Fred Astaire might have performed if he’d joined a hip hop crew.
Untapped serves up a mix of urban tap, street style and hip sounds, overlaid with a healthy dose of self-deprecating Aussie humour. Untapped is strong, contemporary, and highly virtuosic yet propelled by a loose, easy, natural energy.
The beatboxers charismatic menacing style shows off his live microphone technique and electronic rhythmic gizmos, the dancers leap across the stage in jeans and singlets, creating amazingly intricate rhythms to complement the live band rocking out on stage. The loud music is a mix of Funk, Hip Hop, Flamenco, African & Jazz, paired with percussive a capella numbers showing the dancers amazing synchronicity.
Witness the beautifully-synchronized & extremely comical flip flop & flipper tap; audiences will leave with a serious respect for the creative capacity of this tireless cast. From Flamenco-inflected tap to African tribal rhythms to vocal and athletic feats, Untapped doesn’t just hit the mark, it smashes it!

Community Engagement
Over the year RAW has worked very closely with arts councils, government bodies and art enthusiasts to encourage the development of dance and arts related activities within rural, regional and city centres.
RAW can deliver workshops in Hip Hop, Break Dance, Body Percussion and Tap Dance while out on TOUR. RAW’s Dance programs are designed to be fun, creative & educational. Children participating in dance classes will have developed an understanding of duration, beat, time values and metre as used to create rhythmic patterns during the workshops, identifying and following a melodic arrangement of sound, combined with basic motor movements sequences provides a multidisciplinary experience.
With the majority of the touring cast being male, RAW is about creating positive male role-models assisting in the development of positive identity and self esteem within today's youth.
RAW will encourage the development of regular dance programs focused on participation in physical activity and movement capacity to assist in promoting their health and well being.

UNTAPPED is Tap Dogs for the 21st century! Fast & furious ride that blends tap & some seriously funky hip hop (and flamenco) in a non-stop entertainment designed to please. It’s all done with plenty of smiles for cast and crowd alike, and a long sequence that BEGINS barefoot, moves to thongs (with body percussion) and ends with flippers is a riot. (Read More)

The perky percussive dance, performed by the RAW of Australia. Bringing together five tap dancers, a beatboxer & three musicians — on bass, guitar and drums — for one relentlessly energetic hour intent on engaging distractible minds. Vocal acrobatics sometimes upstaged physical ones, courtesy of the evening’s beatboxer, Genesis, whose voice is as agile — and as capable of multitasking — as the dancers’ feet (Read More)

UNTAPPED is Untrammeled Energy! These Expert Hoofers, these Australian fellows, extend tap into wild territories. With their casual duds, streetwise moves and Crocodile Dundee accents, they're the Down Under versions of the working-class blokes in The Full Monty. At their most graceful, they make you think of how Fred Astaire might have performed if he'd joined a hip hop crew... (Read More)
