Sitting neatly in the valleys of the Logan and Albert Rivers, right up to the 80’s, Beaudesert was known for its shoe factory and meat works as well as owing its origins to the wool industry. Named by a sheep farmer around 1841, Beaudesert also has a rich rail story, serving the meat packing industry with a line that ran all the way to the outskirts of Brisbane. Beaudesert has a number of small-scale festivals throughout the year, including Arts in the Olives in May, and Open Studios in May.

Beaudesert is located in southern Queensland, 70 km (1 hr drive) south of Brisbane and 65 km (1hr drive) west of the from the Gold Coast.
