Ever used an IV pole as a stand in microphone while belting Beyonce in the ICU?

Welcome to TRIAGE! A Nursing Cabaret. Exploring the sometimes cruel, occasionally pleasant, always stressful world of in your face hospital medicine as seen through the eyes of Zuleika Khan, Division 1 Registered Nurse and Soul Diva. Named in the Top Ten MUST SEE shows of Sydney Fringe, TRIAGE! appeals to nurses and non-nurses alike. Featuring songs by Dolly Parton, Cole Porter, Beyonce and Carole King as well as Zule's own originals, you'll leave with tears in your eyes and laughing incontinently.

TRIAGE puts the audience into the Emergency waiting room where nothing is certain and life can take an unexpected turn in a split second. Enter Zule the Triage Nurse, the only thing standing between you and a hospital bed. With her soulful voice and quick comedic tongue, Zule not only assesses her patients. She challenges nurse stereotypes, reveals why she was born to be a medical professional and shows what it takes to be the person in charge of deciding whether you are sick enough to get admitted.

Unique Selling Point

TRIAGE! has a niche market and receives an abundance of positive audience responses. Everyone has been sick and has needed medical help at some stage, so it is real and talks about a side of life that no-one likes to talk about.....unless you're a nurse! Through comedy and music, it exposes life's inevitable harsh realities which facilitates a roller coaster of emotions. The themes linger with the audience long after the show. Nurses and non-nurses walk away with big smiles and a new respect for our healthcare professionals. The stories in TRIAGE! are real, personal and raw.

Marketing Materials

Live footage and photos of the show, are available. They have been previously used online and there are pre-existing print designs for flyers and facebook. Over 75% of our sales have been through online advertising. As we are a member of the nurse's union, the ANF puts articles on TRIAGE in their nurse's journals and websites in any state of Australia. Flyering to nurse's stations in the hospital around the venue as well as word of mouth after the 1st show are also very effective advertising mediums.

Community Engagement

Nurses are the community. We are the first contact and the last contact in the hospital system. Nurses cross ages, races, genders, sexual orientations and disabilities. There is no prejudice or judgement when it comes to nursing. Everyone can relate whether they know a nurse, have needed a nurse, or have been lucky enough to not have either and TRIAGE! will be a huge eye opening experience for them. In the past, the show has opened up a positive conversation between non- nurses and nurses. It brings up questions of respect and being valued to society and the human race.
