Dusty and the Divas show pays tribute to the most popular Divas of the 1960's to 1970's

The show embraces the characters of the era, along with wit and charm as Sharon interacts with the audience coaxing unwitting members into the show and providing laughs to compliment her performances.

The audience will love the characters in the show. They are iconic entertainers that helped shape the music industry like Dusty Springfield, Cilla Black, Nancy Sinatra, Patsy Cline, Karen Carpenter, Dolly Parton Connie Francis, Lulu, Petula Clark, Sandie Shaw and more.

Sharon embraces each character in costume and song, patrons will re-live such songs; I Only Want to Be With You, Son of a Preacher Man, Shout, Downtown, Mr. Postman, 9 to 5, Jolene, These Boots are Made for Walkin', as well as many more classics.

The divas fast paced changes and glitzy gowns will leave patrons spellbound as they move across the stage and through the audience with an engaging smile and clever wit.

Considerations

"G" rated content. Standard technical for Radio Mics and Drummer with Click tracks 2 fold backs. PA system and Di's. We plug in a computer for the tracks and the voice overs. We bring our tech guy to cue the tracks. We bring a live drummer that plays along with the track so he would need a fold back.

Over the last twelve years Sharon Rowntree has been entertaining all over the eastern seaboard presenting her main show with website; Dustyandthedivas.com.au, For variety, she also performs with Glenn Sheilds with website; ourduetsshow.com.au featuring the greatest duets of all time

Sharon has been performing since the late 1980s when she joined the ensemble at the Manly Music Loft under the late Peter Flannagan. Sharon was introduced to the vaudeville humour of Peter which gave her a baseline in musical comedy. This combined with her musical training overseas under Seth Riggs and Brett Manning gave her the tools to be perform a song, sell it, and be entertaining and down to earth. Her love of singing has led her to develop numerous shows over the last 20 years, but her love of Dusty Springfield’s music has kept her paying tribute to the white lady of soul. With shows that scale from a one-woman, to mini-shows with tracks and drummer, to full showroom performances, Sharon has shows to suit most venues and most budgets. Sharon is a full time performer, delivering a family run show. We are keen to provide professional and quality entertainment and leave the venue wanting to re-book.
