Nikki Nouveau is a classically-trained vocalist, writer, producer and passionate entertainer. Her glamorous shows have toured internationally with sell-out seasons performing to rave reviews in New York City, Paris, Edinburgh, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart and Perth.

Nikki made her debut at the 2018 Melbourne Cabaret Festival with her one woman production – Kabaret Dietrich, an embodiment of the immortal memory of Marlene Dietrich. The timeless cabaret features Dietrich classics with accompaniment by piano, accordion and Nouveau playing the musical saw.

2018 also saw Nikki tour with renowned magicians Madotti & Vegas in a new theatrical cabaret production Lost In Venice and popular long running production Paris Underground Cabaret.

Nouveau’s hit show No Regrets – The Edith Piaf Story continues to draw great acclaim performing to captivated audiences around Australia. Accompanied by accordion and piano, Nikki weaves French and English narration in between the timeless beauty and emotion of Piaf’s songs.

Bordello Blues created by Nouveau enjoyed a sold-out season at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, along with her debut cabaret Burlesque Assassin which enthralled audiences at Adelaide and Sydney Fringe Festivals and was nominated by The Sydney Morning Herald for ‘Most Thrilling Theatrical Event’.

Members of the community will have the opportunity to take part in short discussions on the life and times of Edith Piaf after the performance, hosted by Nikki Nouveau. Nikki will discuss the significance of the historical songwriting style 'Les Chansons Réalistes' which were popular during war times, depicting tales of poverty, love, loss and death.

The audience will have the opportunity to share their own stories of France's legendary chanteuse, such as how they first heard of Edith Piaf, historical family moments, Piaf's inspiration on listeners as well as the importance of her ongoing legacy.

Stories are universally important to communication. They can be used to keep culture and traditions alive, and to share experiences. Stories shared within different communities can raise awareness of multicultural diversity, foster the exchange of ideas and facilitate further education.
