Of One Mind, is a cultural enterprise formed by Cathy Hunt & Leigh Tabrett in 2014 to develop & support cultural activities which address or communicate pressing social issues and create lasting cultural change. The continuing issue of focus is the need to create a more gender equal world in the belief that it is through gender equality that we will find the solutions to the many other ‘wicked problems’ that the world faces today and make life better for all.
Of One Mind works in partnership with the WOW Foundation (UK) to facilitate the delivery of WOW Festivals and activities in Australia.
Objectives
WOW is a festival because celebration creates optimism, optimism creates determination and energy, and that makes you feel like anything is possible.
It’s for anybody who is thinking about the amazing world we would have if gender equality could come about.
WOW events are a glorious fusion of conversations, keynotes, workshops, performances and exhibitions. There are favourite WOW sessions, like WOW Bites, which are short talks, readings and soapbox moments on a wide range of subjects designed to inspire, engage and introduce new ideas.
WOW Australia Festivals can be scaled to fit any community, from a large 3 day international's festival in 2018 to a series of smaller 1 to 2 day festivals across regional Queensland in 2021-2022.
