USQ Artsworx is the production house that services USQ’s creative arts outcomes. We connect national and international creative arts professionals with USQ and act as the nexus point between the university and the national market for creative arts. USQ Artsworx has been in operation for 40 years, albeit under different names, but always enabling emerging artists.

Objectives

USQ Artsworx produces an annual season of quality, innovative, artistic and cultural experiences which showcase and engage emerging and professional artists, with a range of community and corporate stakeholders. We produce works in collaboration with the USQ’s Creative Arts discipline in order to merge learning and teaching outcomes with community engagement.

Audience Insights

Our audiences range in age from the very young (toddlers) to the elderly (but young at heart!). We usually attract an average of about 175 people to our single night performances.

Additional Information

We produce quite alot of our own material, so we're often looking to find events that compliment our season, and enhance the learning outcomes for our creative arts students. In particular, we're interested in contemporary music, dramatic plays, visual art exhibitions (including performance art) circus, cabaret, comedy and anything fresh, new or quirky!!
We like to support emerging artists and help them to develop thier works.
