The Proserpine Entertainment Centre is a re-built Council run venue in the heart of Proserpine in the Whitsundays - the Gateway to the Reef. Situated 25mins from Airlie Beach, the PEC boasts a 380 retractable seat auditorium with state of the art technical equipment, including cinematic capabilities.

Objectives

The PEC is looking to program content with meaningful engagement and development potential. There is a very wide-ranging and diverse audience within a geographically diverse region. Encompassing the communities of Bowen, Collinsville, Airlie Beach, Cannonvale and Proserpine and all areas in between, the PEC is the heart of culture and performance in the Whitsundays.

The venue is quite adaptable, with flexible seating arrangements including 380 retractable seats, capacity of 500 flat floor theatre-style and approximately 150 banquet style, it lends itself to mixed-mode, and cabaret.

Audience Insights

As well as the Entertainment Centre in Proserpine, there are other venues available to be utilised in other areas.

Collinsville is a mining town 90km west of Bowen and has a community centre with a stage and retractable seating with basic AV and a baby grand piano available.
