Dysart Civic Centre is located in Isaac Regional Council. The venue is run by Council. Isaac Regional Council are interested in hiring touring acts to preform at the Civic Centre. Objectives

Open to all sorts of shows. The majority of our town is made up of mining camps (lots of single working people aged 18 - 65), and young families. Our long term goal is to hold regular events at the Dysart Civic Centre for our community. Adult comedy would work well (for the miners and parents), as would children's shows and workshops.

Audience Insights

Single miners (from mining camps) aged 18 - 65, young singles and couples 18 -30yrs, families. Our venue has not been in use for some time. I imagine the response if advertised well in advance would be positive. For an adult show 50 - 100 attendees to begin with and similar numbers for a childs show.

Additional Information

Any audience is a good audience! The Centre has been out of action for some time, the community would love to see it up and running again. Best to avoid school holidays for children's entertainment as a lot of families head to the coastal towns during that time. 26 - 27 May is Isaac Regional Councils annual show (held in Clermont) - a lot of Dysart families go to the show. August 22nd a neighbouring town, Emerald has their Multicultural Festival, the following weekend another neighbouring town, Moranbah has their Multicultural Festival.
