Local Councils - Queensland

Local Councils across Queensland offer project funding through the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF). It is intended to support local communities through skill development and training.

Although each Council has their own priorities when it comes to RADF, almost all will cover workshops led by professional artists. This makes them perfect for contributing to some of the community engagement activities offered by touring artists.

The RADF principles include:

  1. Supporting professional artists and artsworkers

  2. Supporting locally determined arts and cultural priorities

  3. Supporting regional arts development in Queensland

  4. Supporting cultural activities not supported by other state government agencies

  5. Supporting the participation of community members in arts development projects run by professional artists and artsworkers

  6. Supporting complementary federal arts funding
