Celebrating one of the most remarkable Jazz partnerships in history!
When Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong first recorded together in 1946 for Verve Records, it was the start of an unlikely but wonderful musical partnership. The combination of Ella’s refined, super smooth voice paired with Louis’s raspy, rustic voice resulted in a musical chemistry that made their recordings a joy to listen to, and totally unforgettable.
Though stylistically distinctly different, they created some of Jazz Music’s finest and most memorable duets! From the smooth ballad ‘You Won’t Be Satisfied Until You Break My Heart’ to the playful ‘Frim Fram Sauce’, Ella and Louis were a musical match made in heaven.
Join Melly Melody, Joe Howman, and the Art Deco Swing Band for an intimate show celebrating the music and friendship of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.
