She was named Redland City's Young Citizen of the Year in 2017 because of this. Whenever she tours, Leah will also endeavour to perform free mini-concerts for aged care residents in public hospitals in towns that host her events (and that have public hospitals with residential aged care). This is because Leah believes that everyone deserves the joy of music, especially those who can't get out and about as much as they would like to. In this way, Leah's tour will leave a lasting and joyful legacy in towns and in the hearts of elderly people in hospital.
