Landscape with Monsters responds to our country in transformation. We dig, we mine, we build, we manufacture. As industries evolve great natural beauty meets the scars of our activities. How is the landscape imprinted on our bodies, how do we carry it with us?

Directed by visionary director Yaron Lifschitz, this will be circus infused with video art, soundscapes and objects. It will mark the creation of a new genre of circus-theatre.

Over the course of a tumultuous 75 minutes, full of savage energy and dynamic shifts, seven members of the acclaimed Circa ensemble smash, crash, hold on, caress, uplift and balance as inner and outer landscapes collide.

For at the heart of Circa’s work is the raw humanity of the artists – after their skills and a physical prowess has passed, you remember the looks in their eyes, the sweat, the fragility and the presence as they put it all on the line. This unbridled humanness is at its most present and extreme in Landscape with Monsters – for here, truly, does circus enter the theatre.
