A quintuple bill featuring the worlds finest dancers, showcasing strength blind to gender.

FORTE program is an exploration of the concept of strength: from the obvious associations with power, masculinity and physical fortitude to more nuanced interpretations that explore inner strength, resilience, and determination. It reveals a strength that is blind to gender and can be found in expressions of authority and dominance but also places of fragility, vulnerability or exquisite beauty. It examines the quiet inner strength that can be found in relationships: in the giving of oneself, in trust, in the calm resolve of love, in the nurturing of another. It is also an exploration of the strength that comes from courage in the face of fear or pain, or from a willingness to accept defeat, to admit error or to speak out in the face of injustice. Explores how strength can create barriers that may be there to protect us but can also leave us unable to reach out and connect with others and how for some, it is in solitude–standing alone– that we find our strength. This is a collaboration between Australian choreographer Tim Podesta, guest artist of the Royal Ballet Mara Galeazzi, James Pett and Travis Clausen-Knight, contemporary dancers from the UK, and Artist from Mexico, Sebastian Vinet
