The Gympie Civic Centre is council run and is a programmed venue. It is also available for hire.

Objectives

The Centre's main objectives include community cultural development and capacity building. The artforms they are currently programming include, cabaret, children's / family, drama, lice classical music, live contemporary music (popular) and physical theatre / circus. In the long term they hope to hold more music industry productions.

Audience Insights

The Gympie Civic Centre is only just opening with their program and are focused on building a large audience base. They are looking to develop larger audiences at their venue as well as audiences that include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the LGBTI community and family groups.
