Banana Shire is located in Central Queensland and covers area from Biloela to Taroom. The community includes large and small towns where most productions are brought to the area as parts of events and festivals by local community groups and organisations. From time to time the Council may organise productions for the community.

Performance spaces include large venues in Biloela, Moura and Taroom, community halls which vary in size and facilities are located across the Shire.

The Banana Shire has many local events throughout the year, agricultural shows and festivals, races and gymkhana meets, as well as many fundraising and community events.
