Originally named Petrie’s Creek, Nambour is just north of Brisbane along the Bruce Highway. Part of the Sunshine Coast hinterland, it specialises in sugar and fruit exports. Nambour is home to the famous Big Pineapple attraction (as well as the Big Cow) and has many popular events including the Queensland Garden Expo and Sunshine Coast Festival..
